The names Ant, some call me Anthony some call me Antonious, and the rest just know me as Ant of death, it's a code name of sorts, but moving past that.
I am a leader. I have a history among the people not always the best kind but my starts were simple, I was mostly a mercenary. Found a scrapped ship in a old recycling depot and decided to grab it before the material refabricator got to it. It wasn't much but it got me where I needed to go. I didn't do much with it, started with some traveling, did a few taxi runs for people who didn't find a ship… Though I can say they did not attempt to ride on my clunker again. But as time went on a few colonists came up, and asked for a ride, they payed a lot more then most people do. So hey who was I to pass up a opportunity like that. They wanted to go to some star not on the maps, but said they had found a wormhole to get us there. Said it was a easy job no one would be interested in shooting us down and all. But to break thoughts of suspense now, I gotta say, it really wasn't special at all except for that wormhole. I took it slow and steady they rested in the cargo hull, and we got there.
The leader of the group though stopped me from going though and asked to do some quick modifications to the ship. And said it would make the ship more durable, seeing as the ship couldn't get any worse I went along. He seemed to be venting some of the plasma plus a lot of energy from the ships engines to a obscure device which made a orb shield around the ship instead of the conventional skin style, but after he got his toy working he waved his hand, and I assumed that was a go ahead.
But this is where things got interesting, see that shields new shape is probably the only reason we got out of that one in one piece, the wormhole was horrifically unstable, and soon the ship started bouncing back and forth across a twisting and turning tangle of hyper space, and I could very easily see what the bubble was for, it was projected to ride along the tunnel like a marble in a tube, and it felt like being the marble in the tube, he must have circumvented some of the gravity stabilizers powergrid into the shields emitter so it could survive better because we went from no gravity to hundreds of times normal every second, and I did not keep my lunch unlike some captains who think they are gods and could be stuck upside down in a roller coaster while beaten by wiffle bats then cooked in a microwave and say it was only a flesh wound. But I guess that scenario is a little long winded. I'll just get back to how I ended up here.
Other then that the rest of the long trip was a simple ride, and really should have bin if not for the wormhole exiting into a asteroid field, getting the ship ricocheted like a pinball frying the shields, engines, and half the sensors with it, then hurling us towards a very much deserted desert. Very lonely, very quiet, and very bad place to land. Stupid deserts, all that sand bleck, at least this one had some water.
So the first thing that was left to do was simple! Listen to the colonist leader tell me what to do for I had no freaking clue how to survive on a planet not mass industrialized planet where everything I needed for a day could be bought for 250 credits and a little haggling. So yeah there was the sun, there was the mining, there was the pregnant colonist, and then finally the combustive minerals that made up the surface of the planet, not a fun day at all… well okay maybe it turned out to be a month before we could get things rolling again. The leader dude, who I never was interested in asking of his name found a way to make robots out of the not so explodey minerals on the planet, he liked to pretend they were colonists, but I just shook my head and went back to one of my daily tasks of wandering miles back and forth for anything from getting new materials for engines, to getting water to clean or drink from, at least the fabricator was working and the little bit of power we could salvage from the engine that I am surprised works, and hasn't blow up yet would also keep us cool using the same shield that got us here by filtering out large percentages of the sunlight and thus leaving he surroundings unheated, while feeding us by powering the fabricator.
After awhile we were able to use the materials on the planet to build a large centralized building, nicknamed the command center for various reasons, but the leader of the colonists decided after the long time I spent learning from him, and doing my ~chores~ that I would make a excellent leader. Not actually doing any leading I had no clue what he was talking about, but I went with it. And well that's how I ended up the leader of a bunch of semi sentient robots, nicknamed colonists, which were really easy to mass produce, but liked to break down when their ~houses~ as the colonist called them which really were just maintenance bays, I think he might be a little fried in the head. But he at least did teach them to think and produce more of them self. Quiet the effective labour force for my soon to be growing empire.

Yeah, bin a slow day, those machines have been busy, I got them to use the old cargo vehicle we manufactured to collect water and materials to make some new buildings, the fabricator was only designed to make a set few buildings so it was quickly becoming useless, I was able to get the other human colonists together and we worked on the building designs, removing the armour plates that were on it was the first step seeing as we haven't seen a living life form on the entire planet, and really did not expect to see one any time soon, but this allowed us to multiply the abilities of the buildings until we could figure out what to do next.

I have been working with the colonists and have found a way to get the fabricator to make new buildings, it was actually really interesting, the fabricator couldn't design new buildings only edit the ones already programmed into it because it had no material to work off, the stuff uploaded into it already was basically compounded energy pellets they aren't the greatest but they are really good when you have nothing else to use. But now that we have our "Population" as that mental patient calls them working on pulling in materials from the planet we have bin able to use the fabricator to pull up some stable building models which we then loaded the materials into the fabricator and made a whole new generation of buildings which were a lot more efficient then the last generation. Also one of the colonists accidentally stumbled upon some very basic components and a few ship modules. We might actually be able to get off this planet some day"

The robots are changing I recently saw them doing things with the fabricator I never told them to do, I saw one of them get the fabricator to make a very simple projectile gun I was very impressed. We went back to the ship and started salvaging pieces off of it to backwards engineer some of the technology but in doing so the engine on the ship finally gave in and well lets just say we have a slightly smaller labour force, but we were able to get a good set of things into the fabricators. The fabricator can learn properties of minerals and store them in a data bank we have in the command center for future experiments, and one of the robots created a program code named the "Designer" these robots though they might be sentient, their creativity is still a little lacking, but aparently that's soon to be fixed. The designer is hooked up the the entire network of minds the robots share, I can input ideas and theories into the designers using the materials we have found and basing them off what we have learned about the material create better or worse devices and then the robots can use the fabricators they have on a lot of new cargo trucks they have been making to create the object, as long as the fabricator has the materials to put it together. I gotta commend the engineer on his machines, they do their job well.
